I adore this author and have loved everything by her And this book wow From the first electrifying, attention grabbing page I was hooked I could not part with this story I read it in one sitting, the characters taking root in my head and demanding my full attention And even now, days later, they haven t let go I am still thinking of their motivations, the events that led them to do what they did The writing is exquisite, there are so many wow moments This author goes from strength to strength in [...]

Woah, now this book is a great psychological thriller So much drama So much suspense Makes you ponder how well you really know your friends This is a must read I read a reviewed an ARC copy of this book from NetGalley My thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is the second book I ve read by Teresa Driscoll After really enjoying I Am Watching You, I m glad The Friend didn t disappoint A great thriller filled with suspense The first chapter had me hooked Imagine your child is in hospital and you re stuck on a train A terrifying scenario The chapters go between the present day and the past A great page turner that I thoroughly enjoyed and I can t wait for her next book Thank you to Thomas Mercer and Netgalley for the opportunity to read this in exc [...]

I absolutely loved this book, from the beginning to end I was completely captivated.Imagine being away from your child when they re with a friend,they re injured, and the hospital is unable to identify which child is yours How would you react What is your new mom friend wasn t who she seemed to be The Friend explores this crisis and with such riveting detail it will keep you on your toes from start to finish You will want to preorder this one, it s released in March 2018 and it is an absolute m [...]

The story really drew me in from the first few chapters, trying to imagine myself in Sophie s position Knowing your young son is hurt and having to cope with not being there with him I enjoyed the way this book was laid out, it goes back and forth between the present to flashback chapters to give the backdrop of how they ended up where they are A real page turner and another book from Teresa Driscoll that I really enjoyed and found hard to put down I hope to read of Teresa s work in this genre [...]

I couldn t get interested in this book at all I felt it drawn out and I didn t like the characters, which didn t help I m afraid I didn t finish it.

Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read The Friend by Teresa Driscoll I really like I am Watching you, her last novel, and I found this was written very similarly.The plot takes place when Sophie gets bad news while she rides a train her new friend is at the center of this incident The story goes back and forth with Sophie and her friend Emma and what leads them to this tragedy.Good book, but the lead character was naive and this drives me crazy.Fast read.
