4.25 stars Since recently, I ve become a lover of all things angst And this book had it and I actually really enjoyed this book than I thought I would The characters main and secondary , the story, the writing were all things that really worked for me.The one problem I had was that there were too many other relationships that were inserted into this book I felt like they were overshadowing the story An arc was provided via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

I ll start by saying, the story was good, and I completely understand how messed up Garrett was I know he had to work out his issues and face his past demons and make amends for his past mistakes and transgressions, but I really wish the author had concentrated on him trying to get the help he needed earlier in the story, so the main characters could have had page time as a couple The majority of this book is spent with Garrett and Blair either in a relationship with other people or hooking up [...]

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC.I did not enjoy this book.It was too much hard work.I found myself constantly having to go back to the chapter headings to remind me whether it was Blair or Garrett whose point of view was being expressed which indicates to me that the main characters were not sufficiently differentiated.I realise this is part of a series but always feel that books should be readable as standalones there was too much going on in this that I did not understand. Copy from netgalleyThis is the first book in this series that I ve read and I really enjoyed it It was fun and light, but had moments of tension that kept me reading I like the whole will they, won t they thing so this book was right up my street I liked the characters and connected with them as I got to know them All in all a good book that was well written.

I ll admit, I only read this book because I love the author s other books in the One Night series MM romance so not my thing I ll also admit that I was pleasantly surprised The story was relatable and enjoyable, still full of great characters, one liners and the wit I ve come to expect from this author Will it make me a MM romance fan Probably not, but if you re a fan of the One Night series then this is a must read 4.5 out of 5 stars

Remarkable journey This is not one of those stories that has a little fluff and an HEA oh no This is a grab you by the balls, gets your attention, and guts you kind of stories I found my emotions on a rollercoaster ride of epic proportions throughout this book The ups and downs, insecurities and all around struggles of these two men were so on point that it made me sob by the time I made it to the end.Brilliant writing and witty dialog earns this book a spot in the re read category.
